Tennessee defensive back Colton Hood made a tremendous interception during fall camp. However, the Volunteers refused to expose their quarterback for such a horrendous throw.

They blurred him out of the frame!

As a result, college football fans are working tirelessly to figure out which potential starting signal-caller was responsible for the pick. It is a mystery that may never be solved.

Colton Hood is making plays!

Hood, a former three-star recruit, began his career at Auburn in 2023. He later transferred to Colorado as a redshirt freshman. He later transferred, again, to Tennessee as a rising redshirt sophomore.

This will be the 6-foot-0, 195-pound cornerback’s third season of college football and first with the Vols.

By all accounts, the coaching staff is really high on his potential. They love his “competitive nature” and believe he could be the X-factor for the defense in 2025. Recent videos from the first few days of practice make it seem like he will be in the starting lineup. We’ll see!

Colton Hood is going to make sure Tennessee has no choice but to put him on the field.

Which Tennessee quarterback threw the interception?

The most recent highlight of the Colorado transfer creates an unsolved mystery from fall camp in Knoxville. Hood pulled down an athletic interception on a deep ball that was severely under-thrown.

There is only one problem with the video. The Volunteers blurred out the quarterback…

We don’t know who threw that duck of a pass. It could be anyone!

Maybe it was star transfer Joey Aguilar. Maybe it was one of the four-star freshmen, Jake Merklinger or George MacIntyre. Perhaps it was a fifth-string walk-on.

The blurred-out player might not even be the quarterback! Tennessee could be trying to hide something else. There is no way to be sure. Therein lies the mystery.

To blur out the quarterback who threw an interception during practice is so ridiculous and unnecessary, I love it. College football is so back.

With that being said, if that pass came out of Augilar’s hand, it reflects a concerning trend from his time at App State. That is not what Vol Nation wants to see from their transfer quarterback!
