Things got a bit awkward during the latest edition of First Take. On Thursday morning, the First Take crew was talking about Mark Andrews’ behavior when he decided not to speak to the media after dropping a crucial pass late in the game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

During the segment, Newton bizarrely compared Andrews’ actions to Fox Sports not commenting on the sexual harassment lawsuit brought out by a former hairdresser.

“When there’s a Fox report that comes out and we haven’t heard anybody speak about anything or make any type of public announcement, nobody has held Fox to that same thing. So why are we talking about making a big fuss about Mark Andrews if you’re not going to keep that same energy across the board?”

A confused Smith responded to Newton’s comments.

“What are you talking about?”

Fans debated whether Newton was right to bring up the Fox Sports lawsuit on ESPN.

“Cam Newton compared a legal issue to a sports game. That guy puts on stupid hats and fools people into believing he’s brilliant.” commented one fan

“Cam Newton keeps it too real for regular sports media” said another fan.

While Newton is known for speaking his mind, it’s highly likely that ESPN will tell him not to bring up the Fox Sports lawsuit up ever again.
