While The Philly Special might beg to differ, the craziest moment of this last year’s NFL season was easily the play dubbed “The Minneapolis Miracle.” The Vikings were at their own 39-yard line with no timeouts remaining and down one to the Saints with ten seconds left on the clock when Stefon Diggs somehow managed to take it all the way to the end zone with what essentially amounted to a walk-off touchdown.

However, thanks to one of the dumbest rules in the NFL, the Viking still had to attempt an extra point— a policy that the Saints weren’t aware of until most of their players had made their way into the locker room. However, a number of Saints made their way back onto the field for the final play lead by classy punter Thomas Morstead.

To acknowledge Morstead’s show of sportsmanship, Vikings fans and others donated $200,000 to his charity What You Give Will Grow, whose goal is to raise money for children with cancer. Not happy to stop there, the punter recently turned his attention to another important cause with an impressive show of endurance that resulted in an equally impressive amount of money being raised.

According to NFL.com, Morstead hit the gym to help raise money for the family of Christopher Cordaro, a former sales executive for the Saints who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer three years ago. Morstead organized a fundraiser to support Cordaro’s children by pledging to do an insane 400 pull-ups in an hour.

By the time the 60 minutes were up, Morstead had banged out 418 pull-ups and raised over $60,000 in the process. I’d like to thank him for making me feel even worse about my pull-up ability than I already do.
