TNT Makes Hilarious Scorebug Mistake During Cleveland Cavaliers-Indiana Pacers Game

Sadly, the days of the NBA on TNT are winding down. The NBA’s longtime television partner will broadcast the remainder of the playoffs, up till the NBA Finals, and then no more, as TNT has lost broadcasting rights for the league starting in the 2025-2026 season.

They have plenty more games to broadcast over the next few weeks, though, and they started the second round of the NBA Playoffs with a broadcast of the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. But, the production truck made a huge mistake, showing a hilarious score on the chyron.

The Cavaliers were the best team in the Eastern Conference all season and earned the top seed. They easily dispatched the Miami Heat in Round One, 4-0, including huge blowouts the final two games. Meanwhile, the Pacers heading to the second round by beating the Bucks in five, including a dramatic Game 5 comeback in overtime.

The two met in Cleveland on Sunday, and the Pacers got an upset win in a fantastic, back-and-forth-game, 121-112. Cleveland was without Darius Garland for a third straight game.

The funniest moment of the game was this chyron error by TNT. Take a look.

I’m not sure how they got those numbers, and Indiana was actually solidly winning the game at that time. Either way, they quickly corrected it, and had a great broadcast.

Game two between these longtime rivals is on Tuesday. While it’s not a must-win for Cleveland, it’s pretty close to it. Going down 2-0 and then heading on the road for two would be less than ideal, to say the least.
