Jason Kelce understandably lost his cool when he was harassed by a guy who called his brother a homophobic slur while attending a Penn State game, and Travis has unsurprisingly thrown his support behind his sibling while addressing the incident for the first time.

By now, I assume most people are familiar with what unfolded when Jason Kelce was roaming the Penn State campus ahead of their showdown with Ohio State last weekend.

The retired Eagle was approached by an unruly troll who nonsensically referred to Travis Kelce as a “f—-t” over his relationship with Taylor Swift, which led to Jason grabbing the man’s phone, throwing it on the ground, and deploying the same word while screaming at him.

There were some critics who chastised Jason for failing to exercise restraint, but they were in the vast minority based on the number of people who had a hard time blaming Kelce for teaching a lesson to a moron who clearly needed one.

Jason issued an apology during the Monday Night Football pregame show while saying he regretted his decision to “greet hate with hate,” and he echoed a similar sentiment on the most recent installment of the New Heights podcast where Travis got the chance to break his silence on the matter.

The Kelce Bros addressed the elephant in the room as soon as the episode kicked off, and Travis made it pretty clear he appreciated Jason coming to his defense while giving him props for his handling of the fallout, saying:

“The real situation is you had some f–king clown come up to you and talk about your family, and you reacted in a way that was defending your family, and you might’ve used some words that you regret using,

And that’s a situation you’ve just got to learn from and own. I think you owning it and you speaking about it shows how sincere you are to a lot of people in this world. … You don’t choose hate, that’s just not who you are.

I love you brother, I think you said that perfectly.”

Well said.
