Travis Kelce’s 2025 season, his first as an engaged man, hasn’t gotten off to an ideal start. Not only are the Kansas City Chiefs 0-2 to begin their campaign, but Kelce himself has directly contributed to the team’s losses.

On Sunday, during the Chiefs’ 20-17 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch, Travis Kelce was involved in a key fourth-quarter play as his bobbled catch at the goal line turned into an interception for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Had Kelce secured the catch, the Chiefs would have taken the lead 16-13, or at the very least, would have had a chance to kick a game-tying field goal.

The tight end’s fourth quarter error came after a similar poor performance in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, which saw Kelce add insult to injury by dislocating the shoulder of his teammate Xavier Worth in a collision.

Beyond hoping for the downfall of the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty, a large swath of NFL fans are also basking in Kelce’s poor form due to his recent engagement to pop star Taylor Swift.

The future Hall of Famer hasn’t gotten off to a strong statistical start this season, either, as he has six catches (on 10 targets) for 108 yards and a touchdown in the first two games of the season, which the Chiefs lost.

Things will get easier for the Chiefs in Week 3 as they look to secure their first win of the 2025 season as they’ll head to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants. After that, though, it’s back to facing off against contenders as they’ll host the Baltimore Ravens on September 28.
