Tua Tagovailoa Wants To Play NFL Game In Israel

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa knows where the NFL should go next during the league’s global expansion.

Over the past few years, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has made it his mission to transform American football into a global sport.

“I am convinced that this game is going to be a global sport,” Goodell said, “We could’ve sold over our two games in Germany 4.5 million tickets. They sold out in minutes. And it’s literally the same with the U.K. I think you’re going to see a very global NFL, not necessarily with franchises, but maybe like have one playing games on a global basis. And I see that happening in the next five to 10 years.”

On Sunday, the NFL played its first-ever game in Spain, which saw a massive turnout of Miami Dolphins fans. After the Dolphins’ win, Tagovailoa spoke about the experience of playing abroad.

“They (Spanish fans) were electric… We are very fortunate to play the first NFL game in Spain.”

“Really cool that we got a chance to go out there and play in front of fans who have travelled with us, but also new fans that were out here in Spain.”

When asked where the NFL should go next, Tagoivola gave reporters an interesting answer.

“Shoot, it’d be pretty cool to go play in Jerusalem. … That’d be sick.”
