UVA Lacrosse Player Gets Incredible Welcome Upon Returning To The Field After Mourning The Death Of His Father

#14-ranked UVA lost to #20-ranked UNC over the weekend, 15-12. That said, this moment from the game gives me chills. Fourth-year, 6’2″ UVA attacker Zed Williams recently lost his father. Following a traditional Native American mourning period, he returned to Charlottesville at 6:30 in the morning on game day. The crowd greeted him with a warm welcome when he hit the field.
