The Vanderbilt Commodores continued their incredible run through the 2025 season with a 17-10 victory over the Missouri Tigers in a potential College Football Playoff elimination game.
But the victory didn’t come without some controversy.
Early in the third quarter, with the game tied at 3-3, Missouri starting quarterback Beau Pribula was forced to leave the game with an ankle injury. He did not return, and after the game, Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz said “Beau has no broken bones, but he did have an ankle injury that had to be popped back in. (We) Don’t have a timetable for his return, but it could be a while.”
Vanderbilt DL Joshua Singh May Have Intentionally Injured Missouri QB Beau Pribula
That is obviously less than ideal for a Missouri team with playoff aspirations. Pribula’s backup to start the season, Sam Horn, is out for the season after having surgery to repair a fracture in his right leg that he suffered in the Tigers’ first game of the season.
That meant that true freshman Matt Zollers, who himself missed almost his entire high school senior season due to injury, is now QB1.
Additionally, a further examination of the play during which Pribula was injured shows that it may not have been an accident.

X user @RepresentMizzou posted a video replay of the play. And said replay appears to show Vanderbilt defensive lineman Joshua Singh rolling over and twisting Pribula’s ankle long after the play was dead.
Now, it’s important for me to state that Pribula also fell awkwardly when he was tackled on the play. So it is entirely possible that he suffered the injury prior to Singh alligator rolling with a grasp on his ankle.
But what is not in question is the fact that Singh did roll over while holding Pribula’s ankle.
Ultimately, the video is not clear enough for Singh to face any punishment. And he should not face any harassment either, given the uncertainty of the situation. But it’s certainly not the best of looks.
