Tom Brady didn’t become the G.O.A.T. without making a few mistakes along the way. Speaking with Logan Paul on the most recent episode of Impaulsive, Tom Brady expressed his regrets over his Netflix Roast with Gronk, Nikki Glaser who stole the show, Tony Hinchcliffe, Edelman, and others.
Logan Paul straight up asks Tom Brady ‘do you regret doing the roast of Tom Brady’ and Tom had such a well-crafted answer it certainly feels like this wasn’t the first time he has spoken to someone in his life about this.
Tom jumped right into it, saying “I regret that my kids had to (watch it)… You know, it was tough on my kids, for sure.” Brady continued, saying “I kind of went in there and you don’t know what to expect, and I love laughing at myself, it felt like I was in a locker room, and the harder people go at me… I actually love it.” Adding “If people make fun of you then I know that I’m good with them.”
But Tom Brady does have regrets about the roast. He drops some parenting wisdom for the rest of us, saying “there’s some things as a parent you f— up, and you don’t realize until after. We’re not perfect parents. You’ll see as you grow up, there’s no perfect manual for it.”
The juxtaposition between being at the roast and the next day sounded brutal for Tom.
He said “When you were in that moment, in that theater that night at the Forum, it was electric. It was crazy. We got done, everybody was on Cloud 9. I think that moment I’ll never forget. And then I’ll never forget when I talked to my kids the next day. I felt like a stake through the heart, understandably.”
Brady’s kids asked him “what was the point?” and “why did you do that?” after seeing the vicious jabs taken at Tom and their mother, Gisele. Tom continued, saying his kids are “protective of their mom, of their dad, of everybody” so seeing roasters rip them all apart was really tough for his children and that’s certainly a regret for Tom Brady at this point.
Looking back at the roast, I still maintain Nikki Glaser stole the show. She was flawless with the jokes:
