Zachariah Branch might be the best college football player to enter the transfer portal this offseason. If his activity on social media is any indication, the former five-star recruit is going to continue his career at the University of Georgia.

It is either a smokescreen or a clear indication of where he will soon end up.

Branch was the top-ranked wide receiver in the Class of 2023 and a top-10 prospect overall. He followed his older brother, Zion, to USC. They both decided to seek a new opportunity together earlier this week.

Zachariah is the bigger star between the two. The 5-foot-10 speedster caught 78 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns during two seasons with the Trojans. However, his highlight tape is more impressive than his numbers. He could make a defender miss in a phone booth and will out-run them.

Both Branch brothers entered their names into the transfer portal after a disappointing 2024 college football season for USC. They did so with a ‘do not contact’ tag— which typically means that an athlete already knows where he is going to end up. It might as well say “I’ve been tampered with.”

We obviously don’t know that for sure, but… you can read between the lines!

Pete Nakos of On3 Sports reported on Thursday that Zion and Zachariah Branch “could visit Georgia in the near future.” As of right now, nothing official is on the calendar.

Meanwhile, Zachariah seemingly alluded to their future plans with a pair of reposts on TikTok. They are both in direct reference to the Bulldogs.

The first post points at the amount of NFL talent to come out of Athens over the last few years.

The second post is a hype video featuring former Georgia star George Pickens.

This could be an attempt for Zachariah Branch to throw people off of the scent. Maybe he is going to pop up at an undisclosed school without any warning or hints about what he and his brother are doing.

Probably not. All of the signs point toward Georgia!
