NBA superstar Zion Williamson is facing some serious allegations of abuse from an ex-girlfriend. In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles county, Williams was accused of rape and kidnapping a woman he allegedly had a relationship with from 2018-2023.
According to court documents, the woman began dating Williamson while he was in college at Duke in 2018 and claims he began abusing her in 2020.
‘We and our client do not want to litigate this case in the press,’ the statement from the Lanier Law Firm’s Sam Taylor. ‘However, I will say this is a very serious case as reflected in the Complaint filed in Los Angeles County. Our client looks forward to her day in court before a jury of her peers to obtain justice in this matter.’
The woman also claims Williamson threatened to have his security shoot her and her family when he got angry.
Williamson’s lawyers have to comment on the allegations.
